January Is For Rest and Recovery I used to feel like I had to set new goals and become the best version of myself at the beginning of every new year. Results? Always a flop. At the beginning of last year, I was run down from the busyness of all the things and had been sick on and off for about two months. I was exhausted and lacked some serious motivation to set any kind of new goals and ensure I felt fresh and ready to conquer the new year. All of this really made me rethink how I would approach the new year moving forward and this led me to - January is for Rest and Recovery. Gone away with the guilt of doing and being new things right off the get go, and lean into a month of deep rest and relaxation. Don’t mistaken this for being an easy road, because the guilt of being far less productive than usual crept up daily for me and it fought hard to win some days.
